How can I test stone porosity at home?
You can perform a simple water test by pouring a small puddle of water on an unsealed stone sample. Observe how long it takes for the water to darken the stone. If it absorbs within minutes, the stone is highly porous; if it beads up and remains on the surface for hours, it has low porosity.
