What cleaning agents should be avoided on quartzite?

While quartzite is generally more resistant to acids than calcareous stones, it's still best to avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, and ammonia-based products. Harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubbers can damage the surface or degrade any applied sealer. Rust removers containing hydrofluoric acid are particularly harmful to quartzite.
