What are the considerations for installing natural stone veneer on columns with wood substrates?
For wood substrate columns, ensure sturdy, sound construction and internal bracing to prevent twisting and minimize movement. Columns should be designed so stone does not bear structural load. Apply weather-resistant barrier, wrap wire lath a minimum of 16 inches around corners, overlapping by at least 1 inch, and follow general installation procedures.
