How should mortar be applied to the stone veneer before placement?
Spread approximately 1/2 inch of mortar evenly to the entire back of the stone, ensuring no air pockets. With firm pressure, press the stone into place with a slight wiggle, allowing mortar to ooze around the outer edges. Prevent mortar from getting on the face of the stone.
